I am a digital/photography artist and a sometimes poet. I earned a BFA in Graphic Design in 1984 and have worked in the field of digital type hinting technologies and also as a freelance graphic designer. I am married to my best friend (39 years) and together we have a son and a daughter-in-law who are industrious and smarter than we are. They are our pride and joy.

While in college, I found the smell of photo chemicals in the school's darkroom to be intoxicating. I loved to take and develop black and white photos back in the analog days. I learned ways to "enhance" a less than ideal photo in the darkroom, a handful of the many "tricks of the trade" which art as well as professional photographers employed. My parent's wedding portrait was colored by hand. Other photographers used double exposure and sandwiched negatives. There is a rich history of "photo-manipulation"-- long before the advent of digital photography.

My earlier digital photographs were shot with a point and shoot digital camera. Some hover between drawings , paintings and photography. I call this (often) labor intensive pixel editing process "pixography". My latest photos, shot with a digital slr, usually need only minor 'tweaking" to improve the exposure and color.
