Every one of us have our gifts and our vulnerabilities (or special needs). Let's pledge to work for, love and accept all, adults and children alike, into our circle of humanity. Let's end all stigmas -- toward the obese, the homeless, those with physical or mental illness or limitations and others who isolate themselves in fear of being ridiculed or judged.
Let's work to STOP bullying and prejudice of schoolchildren, teens and adults who are physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually or sexually different from what is accepted as society's "norm". Normal , after all, is just a setting on your clothes dryer. Let's embrace our diversity and the diversity of those around us. Let 2013 be the year we commit ourselves to kindness and embrace our own beauty and goodness as well as the beauty and goodness in all of those around us.
Am I asking for too much?
Hoping that 2013 is a year of good health, happiness, peace and fiscal security for us all.
